On behalf of West Northamptonshire Council (WNC), a full planning application is currently being prepared by Frampton Town Planning Ltd (Framptons) for relocatable temporary accommodation on land off Birds Hill Walk, Weston Favell, Northampton, NN3 8JH (former Lings Upper School) – please refer to site location plan via the blue button.

A total of 38 (2-bed) units are proposed on the site, together with supporting infrastructure including a Community Hub building, on-site laundry, refuse and cycle storage, and equipped children’s play area. The site is also proposed to also have an office for use by Council Officers during office hours, and where necessary for out of hours security purposes.

The site is allocated for residential development in the adopted Development Plan.

Consultation event
Framptons is hosting a public consultation event on WEDNESDAY 9TH JULY 2025 at which you can view and comment on initial proposals for the temporary accommodation scheme. The event will take place:

If you are unable to attend the event, the consultation material and plans will be available to view on our website from 9th July 2025, where you will also be able to submit comments via a consultation questionnaire.

It is the intention of WNC that the planning application will be submitted later this year (2025).  In preparing the planning application, we will have regard to the comments expressed by members of the public.
