Farmhouse in North Oxfordshire

We obtained full planning permission and listed building consent for the conversion of an existing Barn to a Farmhouse in Wardington. The Barn is Grade II Listed.

The proposals comprised the conversion of the listed barn, repair and reinstatement of the missing walls of the southern range of barns, and new link between the listed barn and the once attached southern range.

The courtyard will be ‘reformed’ with a timber post and rail fence bounding the courtyard. The existing concreted courtyard will be broken up and grassed over We successfully negotiated with the Conservation Officer and Planning Officer to the point that the officer considered that “the development would enhance the overall appearance of the site, increase the longevity of the listed building and heritage asset, would not result in harm to the visual amenities of the locality or wider landscape”.
